UG: Pittsburg State University (KS) Still Accepting Applications for Global Achievement Scholarship
Pittsburg State University is still accepting scholarship applications for the Global Achievement Scholarship for this Fall 2014 (August) semester. This scholarship is open to all international degree-seeking undergraduate students and is worth up to $16,000 ($2,000 per semester). The deadline to apply for this scholarship is June 1.

UG: Bay State College (MA) Scholarships for International Students
Bay State College is now giving away big scholarship discounts worth $12,000 during the student's Foundation Year Program (FYP). This means that the regular fee of $24,780 is now reduced to $12,780!

For students who have met the IELTS requirement of 6.0 OBS and qualify as Direct Entry (DE) Bachelor students, they will be eligible for a one-year free housing at Bay State College! Available to the first 10 DE students for September 2014 intake.

FYP is designed to prepare international students to successfully complete a Bachelor's degree in the USA. With small class sizes, expert teachers, and additional English language support, the FYP guarantees entry directly into the second year of selected bachelor programs, subject to students meeting entrance requirements.

UG: Baylor University (TX) Scholarships for International Students
Incoming international students are considered for academic scholarships (the Regents' Gold Scholarship, President's Gold Scholarship, Provost's Gold Scholarship, Deans'Gold Scholarship and Transfer Scholarship).

International students whose status allows them to work in the U.S. can also apply for a limited number of on-campus jobs. These positions usually pay minimum wage for up to 20 hours per week.

UG: Lehigh University (PA) Financial Aid for International Students
The university awards financial aid on the basis of demonstrated need. Merit scholarships may also be awarded on a limited basis. No application is necessary for merit scholarships.

UG: Washington & Jefferson College (PA) Scholarships Still Available for International Applicants
International applications (first year and transfer) are still being accepted for consideration for admission for September 2014. Scholarships ranging from $5,000 to $17,000 are still available and students completing the application will automatically be considered for a scholarship.

UG: Centenary College (NJ) Scholarships Available
Admitted students are automatically reviewed for the following scholarships during the admission process. These scholarships are renewable for up to 8 semesters as long as students maintain continuous full time enrollment and meet the minimum standards for academic progress. 

Presidential Scholars Program

Presidential Scholars are selected from accepted students who have graduated high school with at least a 3.6 cumulative high school GPA and at least an 1100 SAT (Critical Reading and Math) or at least a 24 ACT Composite Score.  The selection process will begin on January 15th.

Grace Harris Scholarship

This scholarship may be awarded to entering students, up to $18,000, with at least a 3.4 cumulative high school GPA and at least an 1100 SAT (Critical Reading and Math) or at least a 24 ACT Composite Score.

アメリカで1年間で修士号を取得したい！

職場から1年間の研修の機会を与えられたので、1年間で修士号（Master's)をとりにアメリカに留学を考えているのですが・・・といったご質問を受ける機会があります。

誠に残念ながら、修士号を取得できる期間（プログラムの長さ）別の大学院プログラム一覧はありません。

一部の分野によっては、書籍や関連分野学会のサイトで確認する事が可能ですが、そのような分野を除いては、ある程度、分野等で大学院を絞ったあとは、ご面倒ですが、各大学院毎に卒業に必要な単位数・卒業までの平均的な期間などについて、学校ごとのウェブサイトでリサーチする必要があります。

＜検索方法＞

▼　留学に関するリンク集で紹介している大学検索サイト、関連分野学会のウェブサイトから学びたい分野で大学院を絞る。→　各大学院のサイトでカリキュラム・入学要件などを調べる。

▼　一般検索エンジンで「a year-long program, master, 「分野名」, edu」などのキーワード検索。

▼　一部の分野によっては、書籍や学会のサイトで修士号取得までの平均的な期間を調べる事が出来る場合があります。

（例）Business
フルブライト・ジャパンの資料室にある『Barron's Guide to Graduate Business Schools』という英文書籍内にある、「Graduate Business Schools at a Glance」中に、表形式になったビジネススクールリストがあり、表のRequirementsに"Minimum Length of Master's Program (in years)"という項目があります。

（例）Public policy, Public affairs, Public administration
NASPAA - The Global Standard in Public Service Education
"FIND YOUR GRADUATE DEGREE FOR PUBLIC SERVICE"

→　"Additional Search Criteria"の"How long would it take a full time student to complete the program?"で検索可能。

フルブライト・ジャパンの資料室にあるSociety for Human Resource Management (SHRM)『Graduate Programs in Human Resource Management』という英文書籍では、各プログラムの説明の中に「Average Time for Completion」という項目があります。

学位取得を特に目指さず、限られた期間で、ご自身の専門性を高めたいという場合、大学のextension（生涯教育コース/大学公開講座）プログラムに参加するのもひとつの方法です。注意しなければならないのは、外国人留学生がextensionプログラムに参加する場合、留学先のextensionプログラムがフルタイムのコースを設け、学生ビザを申請する際に必要な入学許可書I-20を発行して いることが必須条件となります。基本的な手続きの方法は、アメリカの大学への留学手続きと同様です。　（参照：1年間の留学　）
