フルブライト留学を終えて帰国された日本人奨学生から、以下のような報告をいただきました。

"...I contributed to promoting Japan-U.S. mutural undestanding outside the doctoral program.  At the annual summer study courses for high school students, I gave lectures for three consecutive years in relation to my major...I learned various viewpoints of the U.S. from the discussion with them.  I believe that I was a good resource person for them and my lecture gave them a chance to understand Japan.  Moreover, during the semesters, I worked at the library of the University as a student assistance for the Japan Information Center...It was fun to discuss many American young students about Japanese society and its culture. By doing so, I promoted the Japan-U.S. mutural understanding in the University..."

このように奨学生が日本とアメリカの相互理解に貢献してくださっているご報告をいただき、大変嬉しく、フルブライト奨学金の意義を再認識いたします。
