UG: University of Minnesota (MN) Need-Based Scolarships
The University of Minnesota now offers various need-based scholarships to international undergraduate students.  Awards currently range from $1,200 to $5,000 per year (4,800 - 20,000 over four-year award period). Students are required to submit an application form and essay for consideration. Applications for need-based scholarships must be completed no later than February 1, 2014 for 2014-2015 awards. To be eligible for scholarship consideration, students must also complete their application for admission by the priority deadline (December 16, 2013 for freshman applicants, transfer admission deadlines vary). Ohio University is pleased to introduce the OHIO Signature Awards, a set of scholarships and grants designed to recognize the excellent achievements and contributions of the fall 2014 freshman class.  Fall 2014 first-year students who are admitted by February 1, 2014, will be considered automatically for all available OHIO Signature Awards. Eligibility is based on the following:

UG: University of Minnesota (MN) Merit Based Awards
Global Excellence Scholarship

The University of Minnesota is in the process of selecting recipients for merit-based scholarships for 2014-15.  All international freshmen and transfer students who are admitted are considered for a Global Excellence Scholarship. 
For the 2013-14 academic year, the scholarships ranged from $3,125 to $6,250 per year for up to four years (total over four years $12,500-$25,000). Awards are competitive, based on academic merit—students selected for awards show a record of very strong academic preparation.

There is no separate scholarship application required; to be considered for an award, students must fill in an application for admission.  On-time admission applications are considered for freshmen who apply by December 16th, 2013 and transfer students who apply by March 1st, 2014.

Grad: Emory University (GA) Law School Merit Based Scholarships
Did you know that Emory Law School offers merit based scholarships for its LLM program? 

Every application is automatically considered for a merit-based scholarship, and Fulbright grantees are guaranteed a 35% tuition scholarship (currently more than $16,000) if they are accepted into the program.  The LLM program begins in both January and August, and offers a general and specialized curriculum.

The University of Kansas offers a generous scholarship that is facilitated in cooperation with the Institute of International Education (IIE). The KU-IIE  Undergraduate Tuition Scholarship is a highly competitive, renewable, merit-based scholarship valued at approximately $23,000/year for up to four years. Students must have outstanding academic profiles and demonstrated leadership ability. The scholarship is awarded to international students who are applying from outside the U.S. and who will be entering the U.S. in F-1 or J-1 status for the fall semester.

UG: CREIGHTON UNIVERSITY (NE) INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS

Nationally recognized for providing a challenging and balanced educational experience, the Creighton University offers a rigorous academic agenda with a broad range of disciplines, providing more than 7,700 undergraduate, graduate and professional students with degree programs that emphasize education of the whole person.  The university offers merit-based scholarships to international students. Scholarship recipients demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and potential, community involvement, and embody the Jesuit ideals.


Matteo Ricci, S.J. Awards range up to 50% of tuition costs. International freshman and transfer applicants will be considered for Ricci Awards if they submit a completed application prior to March 1. No additional application is required.


A limited number of World Scholar Awards may be offered each year to outstanding international freshman applicants. These awards can cover up to 75% of the cost of tuition. An interview is required to be considered for World Scholar Awards. Students must submit a completed application no later than January 15 to be considered for this scholarship.

UG: TROY UNIVERSITY (AL) INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS

Troy University offers a limited number of full and partial scholarships to international students with exceptionally high academic achievements. These scholarships are only available to first year undergraduate (freshman) students entering Troy University with the intent to obtain at least a four year bachelor's degree. Students must fulfill all regular undergraduate requirements as well as one of the two elite requirements listed below:


The Millennium Scholar's Award (full scholarship: tuition, room and board): Requirements are 31 ACT and/or 1380* SAT 1 and high school Grade Point Average (GPA) equal to an American 3.7 GPA (4.0 scale).


The Chancellor's Award (full tuition): Requirements are 27 ACT and/or 1220* SAT 1 and high school Grade Point Average (GPA) equal to an American 3.5 GPA (4.0 scale).


Both scholarships may be renewed every year that the student attends Troy University and completes the following requirements: Students must maintain full-time status and accumulate a minimum GPA of 3.3 (The Millennium Scholar's) or 3.0 (The Chancellor's Award).

North Central is a nationally-recognized liberal arts university near Chicago, Illinois that was founded in 1861. North Central's International Scholarship is an academic scholarship for undergraduate students that is offered to qualified students at the time of admission. The award ranges up to $20,000 per year (up to $80,000 over four years) and is renewable if the student remains in good academic standing. UG: Northern Kentucky University (KY) International Student Awards
Northern Kentucky University is a growing metropolitan university of
nearly 16,000 students served by more than 2,000 faculty and staff on a thriving suburban campus near Cincinnati.  Every semester the Office of International Student and Scholars award approximately ten scholarships to new students. This award is called the International Student Award and is in the amount of $1,000/ semester.
