The University of Oregon is the state's flagship university, and is located in the classic college town of Eugene, about an hour and a half south of Portland, OR. The University of Oregon offers 268 academic programs spread among our College of Arts and Sciences, Lundquist College of Business, the School of Architecture and Allied Arts, the College of Education, the School of Journalism and Communication, and the School of Music and Dance. We are also home to the Robert D. Clark Honors College, one of the nation's oldest honors colleges. Our student body of approximately 23,000 includes 1,200 international students from 87 countries. Our students participate in nearly 300 student organizations, Division I athletics, and take advantage of the gorgeous outdoors of Oregon. We encourage our undergraduates to immerse themselves in our culture of research, scholarship, and critical inquiry.
